About hopIN eNTERPRISES for development

HOPin Academy in collaboration with our Danish partners Bidrag Til Ghana has over the years equipped hundreds of young people in Northern Ghana with entrepreneurial skills through its business incubation program. As a result, a lot of businesses have been created.

HOPin Enterprises for Development is an intervention that has been created to engage past students (Entrepreneurs) of the incubation program to enhance the sustainability of their businesses. For this reason, the overall objective of HOPin Enterprises for Development is “Harnessing Entrepreneurship as an Enabler For Sustainable Business Development”. The project is funded by CISU through the Danish government.

The intervention

HOPin Academy through its field officers has been engaging with over 25 entrepreneurs of the incubation program through data collection in the form of field visits and sometimes via telephone calls bi-monthly. Through this intervention, HOPin Academy is effectively monitoring the progress of the businesses of the past entrepreneurs after the incubation training program. This intervention would also guide the hub to develop effective frameworks for students who have graduated from the incubation program to follow and have sustainable businesses.
